Face, to Face
My multimedia exhibition showcased two-faced circus acts combining motors, ropes, and prints. I was interested in exploring the contrast of reversible faces, creating an illusion that combined with my love for cartoon drawing. Each coloured piece is a hand-cut relief print, hung by rope. The circus characters were created with vinyl, motors installed in the gallery walls, and graphite on paper. I employed the help of a friend so that each motor simultaneously rotated the faces. It was great to gain experience in presenting work with a deadline, hosting a showing, and removing artwork to have the space ready for the next artist.
